Burgaw’s BEST After School and Summer Camp is always looking for qualified applicants! We love hiring coaches, teachers, and counselors who have the ability to take on the following responsibilities in our After School:

Responsibilities

• Lead recreational/ educational activities

• Able to drive a 15 passenger van

• Educate campers through games and explorations

• Set up and maintain classroom

• Resolve occasional conflict between children and address behavioral issues

• Make sure all safety rules are followed

• Perform first aid or take care of injuries as needed

Skills

• Proven experience as Camp Counselor/ After School Counselor or similar role working with elementary aged children (including nannying or babysitting)

• Familiarity with games and various indoor/ outdoor activities

• Patient and reliable

• Organizational and communication skills

• A love for children

• Energetic and positive personality

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (strength and stamina to engage and play with the kids)

• First aid- and CPR-certified *preferred

• High school diploma

- Must have a clean criminal background and pass a background screening.
- Must be 19 or older.
- Must have experience working with children.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude for success! :)
- Must own a smartphone or computer for regular text and email communication.
- Must be able to drive 15 passenger van (clean driving record)

This awesome job will have up to 20-25 hours per week for After School Coaches!

We have afternoon shifts available with the opportunity for more!
